A long lost child

I'm just sitting around, looking at old Prom pictures. Which is so weird to think that Chelsea just got asked to her senior prom! Andrew took her to the top of the bleachers at GHS stadium and when his friend saw them at the top, he turned on the lights in the grass which said "Prom?" written in Christmas lights…so cute! And tomorrow we go looking for a dress! Ok back to my story, Long Lost Child came on as I was listening to my iTunes, it was a perfect kind of "reflection" song. I can't believe Hayden and Harrison will be on their missions in like 2 weeks! Here is a low down on the friends in this picture: Zac is long gone, he's serving in California, Spencer is already serving in Boston, and Cameron is serving in Oregon. Lee got his call to Singapore, Naomi to Argentina {with the twins!}, Hunter to Pennsylvania, Branson to Oklahoma, and two of these girls are in the process of finishing their papers/waiting for their calls! God has some incredible missionaries/future missionaries that are and will be serving with all of their heart. I am overwhelmed with gratitude to be surrounded by friends who love God and who have been called by Him to serve. I know that so many people will be {and have been} touched by their inspired message. God is so real. Sometimes it is so hard to picture Him beside me, especially when I am in church with a 3 year old on my lap who cries his eyes out for a straight hour… I'm thinking I'm ready for singles ward now :) It's been truly incredible being apart of nursery and now sunbeams, but I am ready to join the exciting and scary and sometimes intimidating world of "the singles". It's going to be an adventure and challenge but I am excited!

The Lord is teaching me patience, I so badly want to know where my path should take me.
This song is about where {I feel} I am in life. I sometimes feel like I am lost in my memories, the ones of high school where I was literally constantly surrounded by those amazing people I talked about up there ^^^ But feeling "lost" isn't all bad. Really it isn't.
I am truly happy where I am, and I know my happiness comes from my Savior. Relying on Him to help me know, even just on a daily basis, what I need to do to stay close. His plan for all of us is so incredible and amazing. I believe that the longer I wait on Him, the greater and more rewarding His answer will be.

Deep within my memory
Where the grass grows to my knees
Where sparrows sing, and all creation speaks to me.

Where clouds rain in noonday sky
With castles, kings, and queens
Where hopes and dreams, and angels’ wings are common things

A long lost child falls behind
And now she is miles and miles from the present time
And just like the birds that fly across the sky
She’s been away awhile
Oh, but I will find her, free from all guile
Beautifully wild
Long lost child

Across the Swanee River
And down in Golden Glen
I saw her face, but I can’t quite remember when

It’s a game of hide and seeking
So tell me, where’d she go?
Perhaps if I inquire, the Brothers Grimm may know?

Oh, a long lost child left behind
She must be miles and miles from the present time
And just like the birds that fly across the sky
She’s been away awhile
Oh, but I will find her, free from all guile
Beautifully wild
Long lost child

Oh, long lost child left behind
You must be miles and miles from the present time
And just like the birds that fly across the sky
You’ve been away awhile
Oh, but I will find you, free from all guile
Beautifully wild
Long lost child
